What to Expect at
City South Physiotherapy
Whether it’s a new injury or ongoing pain, our process is the same. From your first appointment to feeling back to 100%, we focus on expert, hands-on care, and tailored support and elite level rehabilitation.
Initial consultation
We’ll find out exactly the source of your pain by getting a thorough history from you. This will include your medical history, plus all of the relevant information to your current injury. We’ll discuss what makes it better, what makes it worse, your exercise habits, your job and everything in between. We want to get to know you, and establish how we can best set you on the road to recovery.
Diagnosis and Plan
Importantly, we will provide you with a diagnosis. Something that you can research on your own, or we can provide you more information on. Associated with a diagnosis will be your individualised treatment plan. Not a generic, cookie cutter option – but a plan for you. We’ll outline how long it will take to recover, and how we will treat and support you through that period.
Hands-on Treatment
Importantly, we need to get a great understanding of what is going on, and this often means hands on treatment for you. We’ll use a variety of different treatment techniques including massage, taping, dry needling, joint mobilisations and manipulations and cupping. Whatever your body needs, we’re equipped to deliver.
Personalised Rehabilitation
In the consult rooms, we can only ever provide so much relief and treatment. And that’s where you come in. We will provide you with a personalised rehabilitation plan complete with exercises, stretches and a strengthening program that you can complete with our guidance along the way. We’ll help you feel better for the long term, not just Band-Aid solutions that mask your pain.
Ongoing Support
We’re here for you. For this injury and the next one. So we will leave you with strategies to independently manage a little niggle or a flare up. We won’t abandon you, but we will give you the tips and tricks to settle down your pains. And then when you need help, we’re here to guide you on then and .
