Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is one of the most common issues we treat at City South Physio. From stiffness and aches to sharp pain with movement, our tailored programs combine hands-on therapy with targeted exercises. We’ll help you relieve discomfort, restore mobility, and build resilience to prevent future episodes.
Overview
Lower back pain is one of the most frequent reasons people visit us here at City South Physio. It can range from a dull ache after sitting too long, to sharp pain when bending, lifting, or even just getting out of bed. We specialise in helping people overcome back pain with treatment that reduces discomfort, restores movement, and builds long-term resilience.
Our physiotherapists will take the time to carefully assess your posture, movement patterns, and lifestyle factors to uncover the true cause of your pain. From there, we’ll create a tailored treatment plan that may include joint mobilisations and manipulations, dry needling, cupping therapy and massage. We will then couple the hands-on therapy with a range of rehabilitation exercises that will target your weakness areas and improve your core strength and stability.
Whether your lower back pain is new, chronic, or just comes and goes, we’ll support you with a structured program that suits your life. Whether it be in the consult rooms and in our Pilates Studio, or providing you with a program you can do at home, we’ll find the right balance for you. By strengthening your core, improving flexibility, and addressing contributing factors, we’ll help you not only recover but also reduce the risk of future episodes.
At City South Physio, our goal is to give you the confidence to move freely and get back to the activities that you love.
