Arthritis

Overview

Living with arthritis can make even simple daily activities feel challenging, but the right treatment and support can make a big difference. Arthritis can cause pain, limit your mobility and force you to use walking aids like crutches and walking sticks. But, at City South Physio we help you manage your arthritis by reducing pain, improving mobility, and maintaining independence.

Our physiotherapists understand that no two people experience arthritis the same way. That’s why we take the time to listen, assess your movement, and develop a tailored plan that suits your lifestyle and goals. Treatment may include gentle hands-on therapy, specific strengthening and mobility exercises, and education on how to protect your joints while staying active.

Exercise is one of the most effective ways to manage arthritis, and we’ll guide you through safe, targeted programs. That can be in our rehab gym, or Pilates studio, or with a plan to follow at home or at your local gym. We will help you to rebuild strength, improve your flexibility, reduce your joint stiffness and improve your quality of life. We work closely with a number of incredible surgeons, so if surgery is indicated for you, we are here to help. In preparing you for an operation, or helping you to recover afterwards, our physios work to get you back on track.

With ongoing support from your physiotherapist, arthritis doesn’t need to hold you back from the activities, and the people, you love.
